The Raytheon Operations/Supply Chain (OSC) Finance team has an immediate opening for a Senior Financial Analyst, Program Cost Controls (grade P2). This role is on the Material Execution (ME) Team, supporting the Land Warfare and Air Defense (LWAD) Mission Area, specifically the portfolio based out of West Operations. As a member of the ME Finance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the OSC financials for several programs as a Material Execution Program Analyst. Scope of work includes material EAC development, monthly variance reporting, and weekly analysis of cost runs.  This includes participating in the control of costs and schedules on contracts that utilize product based EVMS through APEX/SAP EV management reporting tools. You will be required to perform analyses and prepare reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters. Other responsibilities will include analyzing cost of sales forecasts, purchase orders, and delivery- based receipts. The candidate will be involved in updates to the Annual Operating Plan and 5-Year Sales objectives as well as future proposal development. The program includes an efficient and effective team that relies on individual drive and integrity for success. It is expected that the candidate is capable of building business relationships, trust, and rapport with business contacts within not only the program, but also the product line and customer teams. This position is currently designated as fully remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories).

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Support the creation of Estimates at Complete (EACs) on a quarterly basis including costs, risks and opportunities at the Program / Mission Area level.

  • Perform detailed financial analysis for both total program and mission area cost elements to help define and understand the monthly variances to Budget baseline and EAC positions.

  • Prepare program financial forecasts, monitor actual costs, and explain variances to plans and forecasts.

  • Support the preparation of cost estimates for new business proposals and assist Estimating and Program Analysts in developing rationale for basis of estimates.  

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically, candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and 2 years prior relevant financial experience, or an advanced Degree and less than 2 years’ finance experience. Preferred degrees in in Business, Accounting, Finance or Math or related field.

  • Experience with financial analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting EAC's.

  • Experience in a manufacturing/production based environment and/or working in a defense contracting financial role.

  • Experience with financial evaluations of production programs, engineering projects, and/or process improvements– strong understanding of what is driving variance within data sets.

  • Comfort and willingness to taking on new challenges.

  • Experience in using SAP R/3 Business Systems (APEX, PRISM, Business Warehouse).

  • Working knowledge of financial planning system (RPlan).

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
