We have an exciting remote opportunity for a Solution Train Engineer!

The Military Engines organization within Pratt & Whitney has set up 10+ Agile teams responsible for delivering on numerous digital solutions. There are at least two Release Trains and several standalone Agile Teams that need to be coordinated. This role will facilitate Solution Train events and processes, coordinate the work of the Release Trains and support them in delivering value.

This role will also be responsible for establishing best practices for the Scrum Masters and RTEs and will be accountable for the Scrum Masters following the established standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Release Train Engineers in using and evolving the SAFe methodology and Agile scrum practices for an enterprise-scale ecosystem.
  • Serve as key liaison to customer leadership for organizational process engineering and SAFe/Agile evolution.
  • Support the product owners and development teams to achieve product quality, customer satisfaction and business value.
  • Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization; resolve conflicts; manage risk; and escalate when appropriate.
  • Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments.
  • Design and implement Key Performance Indicators; drive towards data driven decisioning.
  • Help the scrum and development teams to identify improvements to the organization’s SAFe framework.
  • Instill a culture of relentless improvement and continuous learning.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in Software Development Lifecycle; OR an Advanced degree and 7+ years of experience in Software Development Lifecycle; OR in lieu of a degree, candidates with 14+ years of experience in Software Development Lifecycle may also be considered for this position.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with embedding quality and security into enterprise development processes.
  • Experience with developing meaningful business/technical metrics and reporting structures.
  • Experience with project management tools.
  • Experience defining, visualizing, and communicating Key Performance Indicators.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
