Raytheon is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as an Associate Director - Organizational Effectiveness (OE), Culture and Change. The selected candidate will be a deep subject matter expert in organizational effectiveness, design, and structure. This key role serves as a strategic partner to the business, driving the creation and execution of comprehensive OE products and processes while ensuring alignment with Raytheon and RTX business objectives. The Associate Director will collaborate across RTX to support the development and implementation of enterprise-wide solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Partnering with business leaders to drive organizational transformation/improvement priorities maintaining a systems view of the business and the employee experience
  • Leveraging a whole systems approach across assessment, design methods in partnership with senior leaders
  • Designing and implementing organization structures, restructures and gaining alignment across the business unit, through a systems approach to achieve organization objectives
  • Improving team effectiveness among new and existing teams; implement high performing team constructs and methodologies
  • Create and drive effective change management architecture and communication plans for implementation of large-scale initiatives that drive desired organizational outcomes
  • Represent Raytheon in RTX cross-functional solution team partnerships leveraging best practices and ensure successful implementation for Raytheon
  • Lead the development and delivery of end-to-end solutions/products/processes owned by OE
  • Effectively facilitate groups and teams through dynamic or sometimes challenging situations, ability to shift approach and process in the moment while achieving necessary outcomes
  • Work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across lines of business and functions; in a fast-paced, demanding environment (virtually as well as in-person)
  • Use a systems approach to organization assessment and organization design process, drawing from experience with a variety of OE intervention tools
  • Lead cross-functional teams with executive sponsorship for specific engagements
  • Scope and effectively manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Align and translate strategy into specific goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables; clearly track and report progress to plan at both executive and working team level
  • Identify critical organizational issues and root causes; provide objective, practical, data-driven solutions
  • Develop and deliver sound, persuasive business cases that result in leadership action
  • Balance big picture, strategic thinking with tactical implementation
  • Effectively lead and manage change
  • Guide and influence at multiple levels of the organization to include executive leadership
  • Present effectively by bringing clarity, synthesizing complex information into easy-to-understand visuals and text appropriate for each level of audience
  • Demonstrate commitment to professional development, staying current in areas such as team effectiveness, leadership, organization design, culture and change leadership
  • Some travel required: ~15-20%

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
  • 10+ years in Organization Effectiveness (OE), Organizational Design (OD), or Organizational Structure
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Certification in one or more of the following is desirable: Prosci Change Management, Org design, ICF Executive Coaching, Agile, Project management
  • Experience and knowledge of multiple work areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience (such as: change management, organization design structure, high performing teams, leader effectiveness, project management, human resources or talent function)
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of aerospace and defense business with the ability to identify best practices and how to best utilize within RTX
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate and influence at all levels of the organization.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.This role is a U.S.-based role.
