None/Not RequiredRTX ES Infrastructure is seeking an experienced and visionary Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping our Oracle Cloud strategy, leading complex implementations, and driving the adoption of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions across our enterprise. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Oracle Cloud infrastructure and security, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering successful large-scale projects.
What You Will Do:
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and compliant OCI landing zone automation using native services like Cloud Guard, Logging, Audit, and Identity domains. Centralize landing zone management and enforce configuration standards through automated guardrails and auto-remediation workflows.
- Build and manage OCI infrastructure with Terraform, Oracle CLI, Ansible, and APIs. Create reusable modules, support environment-specific configurations, and use GitHub Enterprise for version control, code reviews, and release pipelines. Apply DevOps practices and CI/CD tools for automated deployments.
- Promote self-service, automation-first approaches for both IaaS and serverless workloads. Implement IAM strategies aligned with least privilege, integrating with enterprise identity systems and cloud-native access controls.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, CMMC). Integrate OCI with enterprise networks and core IT systems for seamless operations. Monitor environments with OCI detectors, responders, and alarms to detect and respond to anomalies.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, document processes, and propose architectural improvements. Work within Agile teams to deliver product owner goals, and produce collateral including architecture docs and operational guides to support OCI adoption.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
- 7+ years of progressive experience in IT and 3+ years specifically leading large-scale OCI Implementations
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, Oracle Cloud CLI/SDK, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, or other relevant languages used for cloud automation, infrastructure provisioning, and integration.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure architecture, including core services, security models, and integration patterns.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to technical teams through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and hands-on solution development.
- Proven ability to support and deliver complex cloud projects from initial design through implementation and operational handoff.
- Experience working within large-scale enterprise cloud environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant deployments.
