This position reports to the Program Planning Manager and works collaboratively with the Program to develop, maintain, and evaluate performance against the Program Measurement Baseline. During the program execution phase, the Program Planner is the focal point for changes and updates to the IMS. The successful candidate must be able to identify and recommend insightful mitigation plans to ensure that the IMS is used by program teams as a predictive model and as a valued management tool. This position requires a highly analytical, data driven, results oriented team member that proactively seeks out data, engages stakeholders, and facilitates closure of commitments. The applicant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with governmental and customer requirements.

What You Will Do

  • In this role there is the creation and maintenance of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) compliant with governmental and corporate requirements which demonstrate the necessary cost and schedule integration

  • You will take detailed analysis of the IMS and supporting documents to ensure quality, completeness, and compliance. The weekly and monthly business rhythms will require communication (electronically and verbally) of schedule status including but not limited to, results of critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis (SRA), schedule variance analysis and the results of ‘what if’ exercises to the Program Manager, the customer and potentially to senior management

  • You will assist in planning and cost estimating tasks, perform analyses, and prepare reports to ensure that programs meet or exceed schedule commitments. This includes internal weekly and monthly program schedule review packages and compliant external Contractual Data Requirements List submittals

  • You will participate in the preparation of schedules for all contract work and perform critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis, variance analysis and other forms of in-depth and actionable schedule related analysis

  • You will Incorporate contractual and programmatic changes into the IMS in order to maintain realistic contract schedule baselines

Qualifications You Must Have

  • There must a minimum 8+ years of professional experience in Accounting, Finance, Program Management or Program Planning & Scheduling

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process

  • Professional experience using software designed for creating and maintaining industry related schedules. (MS Project or similar scheduling software and as well professional use MS Office suite products)

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Education, Experience, Skills & Certifications

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Minimum 4 years of scheduling experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment (preferably aerospace)

  • Intimately familiar with applicable Government regulations, especially pertaining to program planning and Earned Value compliance

  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical/cost/schedule constraints to achieve customer satisfaction

  • Experience in the area of analyzing and querying schedule data (including Schedule Metrics).

  • Experience using numerous ancillary scheduling products such as Full Monte, FastTrak and PertChart Expert

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in assisting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in planning, scheduling and cost estimation

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
