RRD's Packaging & Labels Platforms has immediate opening on our Systems Support Team.

These individuals will serve as Subject Matter Experts (SME's) for our System Conversion & Support Team. The SME's will be traveling to all of our facilities to manage the refresh and/or conversion of the legacy Management Information Systems solutions to the Enterprise ERP solutions.

Our System Conversion Team Subject Matter Experts (SME's) will support the functional areas of Estimating, Planning, Purchasing, Scheduling, and Production Management.

**Experience in a packaging print or labels facility or closely related environment is preferred.**

**Travel - Required and Expected 25% or more of the time**

Scope: The Systems Team is responsible for managing the PKG’s & Labels Enterprise ERP solutions. Subject Matter Expert (SME) supports the functional areas of Estimating, Customer Service, Planning, Purchasing, Scheduling, Receiving, Inventory / Warehouse management, Shop Floor Data Collection, Shipping/Receiving and Finance. System SME’s key areas of focus as they relate to PKG / Labels Enterprise ERP solutions are Business Assessment, Process Assessment, Process GAP Assessment, Solution Implementation, Solution Training, Training Effectiveness Assessment, Process Compliance Auditing and Solution Compliance Auditing.

Responsibilities

  • System Migration SME’s key areas of focus as they relate to PKG’s Enterprise MIS solutions are Business Assessment, Process Assessment, Process GAP Assessment, Solution Implementation, Solution Training, Training Effectiveness Assessment, Process Compliance Auditing and Solution Compliance Auditing.
  • Collaborates on process & training material design, development, recommend changes, and adaptations to materials based on actual experience gained with the materials when used in the field. Provides technical support for web-based and other alternative methods of delivery.
  • By consulting with the Business Unit, identifies problems, trends and/or performance gaps as they relate to the employee effectiveness. Collaboratively develops appropriate strategies to help move the organization to a high performance environment.
  • May serve as Project Leader in the implementation of specific programs or projects. Communicate directly with key operational stakeholders to set implementation strategy.
  • Applies standard evaluation methodologies for measuring training effectiveness and analyzes evaluation data. Prepares, copies, and distributes participant materials, including but not limited to pre-work, participant guides/workbooks, handouts, post-assessments, etc. Consult with business unit to gain knowledge of their daily operations, define their training needs and make recommendations to help them achieve their goals.

  • Bachelor's degree in discipline related to function of work with 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • ERP support, conversion experience is required.
  • 3-5years of experience in a Packaging, Labels or closely related environment preferred, with subject matter expertise (systems integration) in one of the key functional areas requiring SME support.
  • Results driven, execution-focused, seasoned professional who can work independently.
  • Able to facilitate, prioritize and resolve conflicting demands and requirements.
  • Experienced in the change control management process and have a understanding and experience in managing complex projects.
  • Able to apply broad work experience and knowledge when analyzing complex problems.
  • Must have experience in systems integration within packaging or printing
  • Requires strong understanding of the impact of a message on the organization or customer.
  • Ability to travel periodically to remote locations to conduct training sessions.

RRD's current salary range for this role is $68,300 to $105,200 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
