Position Overview:
The Director, Product Marketing is accountable for effective strategies, tactics, and research for the RQI Partners’ product portfolio.
The position is responsible for creating short and long-term plans for marketing the product portfolio to hospitals and healthcare systems in the U.S. market including product fit per market, recommending innovations, and positioning the right product portfolio by customer and market segment.
This position coaches and leads a team of marketing professionals focused on product marketing, working with partners and with internal and external stakeholders. Internal stakeholders include product management and development, research teams as well as sales.
Leveraging data and creating insights, the role is responsible and accountable for product marketing that increases sales, customer retention, customer satisfaction and guides how customers view RQI Partners’ products.
This role is responsible and accountable for leading a product marketing team driving increased sales and retention, customer satisfaction, and ultimately maximizing the impact of the organization’s mission by helping to save more lives.
Position Holder is Accountable For:
• Leadership and Team Management: Leadership and effective coordination of marketing professionals to deliver all outcomes required for achieving functional and organizational goals. Build and manage a team to ensure product marketing needs are met.
• Product Marketing: Creating and implementing product marketing plans based on value propositions and research for each of RQI Partners’ products, including pricing recommendations.
• Brand Equity and Corporate Image: Ensures brand equity, corporate image, and compliance with the global RQI portfolio of programs and services on behalf of the AHA, Laerdal Medical, and other partner organizations.
• Leadership & Team Collaboration: Leadership and effective collaboration as a member of several cross-functional teams, including research and product, and a marketing team that delivers outcomes required for achieving functional and organizational goals.
• Market and Customer Research: Maintains a deep knowledge of markets and clients by utilizing consistent surveillance and research of industry trends and imperatives. Acts as a subject matter expert to the corporation regarding existing markets and to identify and provide recommendations on industry trends.
• Upstream Marketing: Includes working closely with Product Management and Development to assess market needs/barriers, develop and implement go-to-market initiatives to ensure successful product releases and promotion of products for U.S. markets.
• Metrics: Develops and continuously measures the effectiveness of product marketing campaigns and launches by utilizing core metrics to measure performance and be able to make recommendations based on performance.
• Strategic Planning: Leveraging internal and external data to create plans that can be instituted and driven by the overall corporation.
• Executive Presence: The role requires experience working with and communicating data and plans for executive and senior leadership in a cohesive and impactful way.
Required Skills and Competencies:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in product marketing or product management for multiple products.
• Proven track record executing innovative and multi-part product marketing plans including by customer segment.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering, or related field and an MBA is preferred.
• Demonstratable experience working with outside marketing research firms and with internal data to provide insights.
• Familiarity with sales cycles, product life cycles, and product management stage gate processes.
• Experience with project management, ideally Six Sigma methodologies, to create, align, and manage product marketing processes.
• Healthcare, medical device, and hospital marketing experience preferred.
The estimated annual base salary for this position is $120,00-$125,000. Please note that this range does not include any other compensation or benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, level of education attained, and/or professional certifications, years of relevant experience, special skills, etc.
