The journey of RQI Partners, LLC began in July 2018, born from a powerful alliance between two giants in health and medical technology: the American Heart Association (AHA) and Laerdal Medical. Recognizing a critical need to transform resuscitation practices and improve patient survival rates from cardiac arrest, these two mission-driven organizations embarked on a joint venture. What started as a shared vision to bridge the gap between established scientific guidelines and their consistent, high-quality application in real-world emergencies, quickly materialized into a dedicated entity focused on revolutionizing resuscitation education and quality improvement. The core challenge RQI Partners set out to address was the well-documented decay of CPR skills over time, even among trained healthcare professionals. Traditional biennial training models were proving insufficient to maintain the high level of competence required to save lives effectively.

From its inception, RQI Partners dedicated itself to delivering innovative, evidence-based solutions. The company's flagship Resuscitation Quality Improvement® (RQI®) program, co-developed by the AHA and Laerdal, introduced a paradigm shift with its 'low-dose, high-frequency' training model. This approach allows healthcare providers to engage in regular, brief, and highly effective skills sessions, often at their place of work, ensuring that life-saving CPR techniques remain sharp and readily deployable. The formation of RQI Partners was a strategic move to accelerate the adoption of these advanced digital learning solutions across U.S. acute care hospitals, health systems, emergency medical services (EMS) agencies, and nursing programs. The company's narrative is one of relentless pursuit of excellence, leveraging technology and data-centric insights to empower healthcare professionals, with the ultimate goal of significantly increasing survival rates from sudden cardiac arrest and eliminating preventable deaths. Their commitment extends to fostering a culture of continuous learning and verified competence, truly modernizing CPR for modern care.
