RHI Magnesita is currently seeking a MuleSoft Senior Technical Engineer who can provide a high-level of technical knowledge and experience to help us deliver innovative solutions for our internal customers. You will enable our customers to realise the full value of their integration landscape by connecting their applications, data and devices. In this role you will work across our customers’ technical teams as their trusted advisor on the MuleSoft product stack, integration delivery and API Management.
About the job
As a MuleSoft Senior Technical Engineer you will play an important role in the Digital Transformation of RHI Magnesita, being a key individual to support the development of the technical solutions. You support main initiatives, being part of the Digital & Cloud Solution Delivery department. Work in alignment with rest of the teams and other IT areas, following corporate standards with full autonomy to challenge and purpose new ideas, keeping all activities well documented.
In addition, your tasks will include:
- Support with technical expertise the teams to develop and support the integrations on Anypoint Platform
- Help to understand the architecture definition proposal by MuleSoft architects and stablish internal patterns and guidelines.
- Implement APIs and integration services according to the patterns and guidelines stablished.
- Design and develop integration components following the patterns and security requirements.
- Perform test (unit tests, support functional tests, regression tests and performance tests).
- Ensure compliance with quality control, including configuration, monitoring and quality control
- Partner with architects, developers, and engineers spread in different countries as well as evaluate, estimate, and support the system integrations, responding to the requirements of the business areas, always applying the market best practices and Agile methodologies.
- Keep up with best practices, software development trends and innovations.

What we expect from you in terms of:
Education
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
API certificates will be considered an asset
Languages
English – Proficient/Fluent
Any other language is considered as an asset
Work Experience
Experience as MuleSoft Technical Engineer
Microservices, batch-based processing, Event Driven Architecture patterns implementation
REST and SOAP services implementation
One or more industry prevalent programming languages (Java or equivalent)
Traditional, containerized or cloud-based infrastructure.
Hands-on experience of implementing DevOps principles and Software Engineering best practices, such as CI/CD, Test Driven Development, and automation.
Success in mentoring/coaching technical teams to design, deliver & assure high quality software when faced with challenging requirements and a complex technology landscape
Capability to understand business needs and interact with other teams to provide support for the day-by-day activities.
Familiarity with working remotely, collaborating with teams working in different time zones
Be open to work and learn also a different IpaaS, SAP Integration Suite
