We are looking for a freelance product manager to support the product team on a short-term basis. You will be working across multiple product teams. RA can offer hybrid working, allowing all employees to work both remotely and in the office. For this role we would encourage you to be in the office whenever possible but this is not a requirement. RA welcomes applicants from all abilities, backgrounds, ethnicities, experiences, gender expressions, and sexual orientations. We aim for the staffing at RA to be a reflection of the communities we cover, amplify and participate within. We actively promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace, this is reflected in our internal operations and the treatment of our staff.

Key responsibilities:

  • Writing product requirement documents covering functional and non-functional requirements
  • Using data and user research to inform decision making and prioritisation
  • Talking to stakeholders around the business to understand their wants and needs
  • Briefing the product design team so that they can produce designs satisfying requirements
  • Working with development team leads to understand what is possible and the tradeoff between impact and effort
  • Coordinating and running sprint planning, retrospectives and other agile meetings
  • Managing a backlog of incoming bugs and requests

We’re looking for:

  • Professional experience in a product management role within the technology space
  • Experience building and shipping great software, including responsibilities driving prioritisation, trade-offs, and timelines
  • Someone who can work independantly and manage their own time effectively
  • Familiarity with the stages of software development and some understanding of how components and activities fit together. This could be from a previous role, bootcamp, or university course
  • Familiarity and experience working with agile methodologies
  • Confidence in some kind of data manipulation or analysis e.g. SQL, spreadsheets or business intelligence tools

We care about:

  • Flexible and remote working, dependent on role location
  • Generous annual leave policies, with a focus on supporting a work/life balance
  • Comprehensive staff wellbeing policies, with regular activities and workplace initiatives to support mental and physical health
  • Individual personal and career development plans and training opportunities
  • A transparent internal company culture with a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion - https://ra.co/about/diversity
  • Supporting community projects across the industry: https://ra.co/about/community

Our values:

  • Electronic music is art.
  • We celebrate the progressive values that underpin electronic music.
  • We advocate for a more inclusive and equitable electronic music community.
  • We honour the past, present and future of electronic music.
  • We use innovation to empower the community.
  • We choose honesty over gain and purpose over profit.
  • We’re always front left.
