Philippines onlyWe are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Assistant to support our tax department in preparing and filing accurate tax returns. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in filing taxes , and a desire to grow within the field of taxation and accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and filing individual and corporate tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Organize and maintain tax-related documents and records.
- Conduct preliminary reviews of financial statements and identify tax-saving opportunities.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information and clarify tax-related inquiries.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Provide support during audits and other financial reviews.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all tax-related tasks.
Requirements
Previous experience in tax preparation or accounting is preferred.
Experience in tax filing
Enrolled agent with the IRS is a plus
Strong understanding of tax regulations and procedures.
Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., TurboTax, ProSeries) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
[Optional] CPA or Enrolled Agent certification, or working toward obtaining one, is a plus.
