Recora is a digital health company dedicated to transforming cardiac recovery and management. Founded in 2020 by a team of seasoned digital health entrepreneurs, the company aims to empower individuals to lead longer, fuller lives by redesigning heart health from the ground up. Recora's core offering is a virtual cardiac rehabilitation program that provides patients with the necessary tools, guidance, and support to recover from cardiac events and manage their heart conditions from the comfort of their homes. This innovative approach addresses the significant barriers to traditional, center-based cardiac rehab, such as access, transportation, and scheduling conflicts, which have historically led to low participation and completion rates. The program is built on evidence-based research and is delivered through a combination of technology and a dedicated, multidisciplinary care team.

The comprehensive virtual platform includes personalized care plans, educational materials, and on-demand access to a team of clinicians, including physicians, nurses, exercise physiologists, health coaches, and dietitians. Patients receive a 'Recora Recovery Kit' which may include an internet-enabled tablet and other monitoring devices to track their progress. This high-touch, patient-centered model has demonstrated significant clinical and financial benefits, including lower hospital readmission rates and reduced healthcare costs. Recora partners with health systems, hospitals, and health plans to extend the reach and impact of cardiac care, fostering better patient engagement and outcomes. The company's mission is driven by the understanding that one in three people die from heart disease, a statistic they are committed to changing by making effective cardiac care more accessible and continuous. By focusing on a holistic and supportive recovery experience, Recora is not just improving patient health but also strengthening the relationship between patients, providers, and payers in the healthcare ecosystem.
