This position is hands on with customers and vendors to train them on how to use drones and robots to collect the highest quality data of solar farms. The data is then analyzed within the Raptor Maps ecosystem. The Inspections Enablement Specialist (IES) helps ensure our customer’s success and works closely with both internal and external teams by conducting field tests, publishing best practices, and demonstrating and showcasing the value of the latest products in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain inspection SOP documents across inspection technologies
  • Design and lead unmanned aerial system (UAS) flight trainings for customers
  • Serve as data collection subject matter expert to support Operations inquiries and priority calls with customers
  • Conduct inspections as needed to support R&D and customer needs
  • Act as resident expert on all deployed inspection technology
  • Train customers in the field on drone flight planning and operations, autonomous robot mission planning and operations, and web and mobile applications
  • tailor content to each customer’s use case and experience
  • document training outcomes clearly to enable future Sales conversations
  • Maintain and and stay current with FAA Part 107 certificate as well as FAA trends associated to unmanned robotic operations

Required Qualifications

  • Current FAA Part 107 certificate
  • Thorough understanding of FAA regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Team player
  • Love learning new things fast and staying up on technology
  • Strong time management skills and a knack for adapting to changing priorities and project needs
  • Ability to travel on short notice and for up to 75% of time
  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of work experience in project management, operations and maintenance, field training, or similar
  • Must be primarily located in the contiguous US
  • Must be authorized to work in the US

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience flying high-quality inspections that meet Raptor Maps standards
  • Experience with capturing and interpreting thermal aerial imagery( thermography)
  • Experience using project management systems (Airtable, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheets, etc.)
  • Prior work or research experience in solar operations and maintenance, field technician work, or other related solar PV experience
  • Familiarity with SQL or other data querying language
  • Prior startup experience
