Rapid7 is looking for a Strategic Account Executive to join our high-performing DACH sales team, focusing on driving new customer acquisition across Austria and fueling the growth of our DACH region.

About the Team

You'll be working alongside a dynamic team of 12 Account Executives in DACH Region, supported by Business Development Representatives, Channel Account Managers, Solutions Engineers, and Customer Success Managers—all working together to deliver best-in-class cybersecurity solutions.

We set you up for success with world-class sales enablement programs, ongoing coaching, and training designed to immerse you in our business, our products, and our mission.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities in the strategic accounts space.

  • Engage and consult with prospects to align their needs with Rapid7’s solutions, becoming their trusted cybersecurity advisor.

  • Turn insights into action, using client feedback to shape impactful strategies and influence decision-making.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Channel, Sales Engineering, Sales Operations, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless implementation and long-term customer success.

The skills you’ll bring include:

  • 4+ years of full-cycle sales experience in cybersecurity with a history of exceeding quota.

  • A track record of success in driving revenue through new business development and sustainable growth.

  • Autonomous and resilient—able to excel under pressure in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

  • Strategic mindset—skilled at building meaningful relationships and navigating complex sales cycles.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit—you’ll own and drive your business in the Bavaria region.

  • A collaborative team player—who thrives in a high-performing sales culture.

  • Fluent in German & English and based in Austria.

  • A deep understanding of the Austrian market with a proven track record of success.

  • Willingness to travel (40%) for client meetings as needed.
