About the Role
The Summer Intern will play a key role in supporting the team's efforts to maintain and improve the health and efficiency of our business systems. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in operational analysis, solution investigation, and process improvement within a dynamic business environment. The intern will work closely with experienced team members to assess operational tasks.
Essential Responsibilites
- Analyze and document existing operational tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of business systems.
- Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of current processes.
- Assist in identifying areas for potential automation or optimization.
- Research and investigate various observability tools and techniques to enhance system monitoring and failure detection.
- Assist in the implementation and configuration of observability solutions. This might be too much in the timeframe.
- Monitor system processes to ensure they run as expected and identify any anomalies or failures.
- Help to create dashboards or reports to show system health.
- Gather data and insights from operational assessments and observability investigations.
- Develop and present recommendations for process improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Assist in the documentation of new processes and procedures.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of business processes and systems.
- Basic understanding of data analysis.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like python is a plus.
- Ability to learn new technology quickly.
