Title : Trainee Database Engineer - IN

Skills: Basic of DBA and cloud

Shift : Must be open for rotational shift ( including night )

Location: India Remote

Experience - 6 months - 1 yrs of experience.

Summary of the entire job profile that applies to each career level with standard statement: Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedures and any other relevant policies and standards as directed. Perform database engineering and administration activities such as installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, backup, security, troubleshooting, documentation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Emphasizes the importance of staying current on databases and industry trends.

Database Management: Assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of databases.

Cloud Portals: Usages of public cloud hyperscale portal for database operations

Basic usages of automation tools and scripting (Python/PowerShell/Ansible/Shell Scripts/TSQL/PLSQL) and cloud native tools like terraforms, Git/GitHub.

Monitoring: Monitoring database performance, finding and addressing bottlenecks.

Backup and Recovery: Assisting in implementing and testing regular backups of databases, as well as participating in database recovery processes in the event of failures or disasters.

Security Management: Assisting in implementing and maintaining database security, including managing user access, permissions, and roles to ensure data confidentiality and integrity.

Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure effective knowledge transfer and compliance with organizational standards.

Collaboration: Collaborating with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to support database-related initiatives and projects.

Understanding of Relational Databases: A strong grasp of relational database concepts, normalization, ACID properties and the principles of data organization and storage.

SQL Fundamentals: Knowledge in writing and understanding SQL queries, data manipulation (DML) and data definition (DDL) statements, as well as a basic understanding of joins, Indexes and procedures

Knowledge of public cloud platforms and databases available on Public Cloud.

Knowledge of Cloud Databases on PAAS and IAAS platforms.

Understanding of different databases flavors like relations and non-relational like document DB/Graph databases/Key-value pair database

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a directly related field
