As a Kubernetes Engineer (Weekend Shift), youβll serve as the guardian of uptime β ensuring continuous availability for Air Force Platform One and Air Mobility Command systems.
When others are offline, youβre the steady hand keeping global communication secure and operational.
This role combines autonomy, trust, and technical precision β ideal for engineers who thrive under responsibility and want their work to directly support national defense operations.
βοΈ What Youβll Do
- Maintain 24x7x365 uptime for critical DoD systems
- Deploy and secure multi-cloud Kubernetes environments
- Leverage Terraform, Helm, and GitOps to automate and scale infrastructure
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance
- Partner with senior engineers on compliance and reliability engineering
- Document procedures for audit and knowledge sharing
π§ What You Bring
- Mastery of Kubernetes, Istio, Helm, and container orchestration
- Experience building secure infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Skilled in Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD
- Solid foundation in Linux and networking
- CKA certification preferred
