Senior UI Developer(Contract)-8+yrs experience
Overview
We are seeking a Senior UI Developer with deep expertise in front-end engineering and a passion for building high-quality, scalable, and performant user interfaces. In this leadership role, you’ll drive the architecture, development, and evolution of modern web applications, ensuring they deliver outstanding user experiences aligned with strategic business goals.
As a Senior Developer, you'll collaborate across teams—UX, product, QA, and back-end—providing technical guidance, mentoring junior developers, and shaping best practices for testing, accessibility, performance, and code quality. You will be a key contributor in product planning, frontend decision-making, and system design, ensuring seamless integration between design vision and engineering execution.
If you're a problem solver with a strong architectural mindset and a user-first approach to interface design, this is a compelling opportunity to make a tangible impact at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of robust, maintainable front-end architectures using Vue.js (Composition API, Vue Router, Pinia).
- Translate complex business and user requirements into intuitive, responsive, and accessible web interfaces.
- Define and enforce front-end coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines across the team.
- Design, implement, and own the front-end testing strategy using Vitest, Vue Test Utils, and related tools.
- Evaluate trade-offs between Vue.js and React.js, and guide architectural decisions in cross-framework or legacy modernization efforts.
- Collaborate with UX and Product teams during the early stages of design to influence user flows and feature feasibility with technical insight.
- Lead code reviews, pair programming, and architecture discussions to ensure delivery of high-quality, consistent, and performant code.
- Drive performance optimization strategies including lazy loading, debouncing, throttling, and code splitting.
- Solve high-impact technical challenges, such as complex UX scenarios (e.g., Canvas builders, drag-and-drop systems) and large-scale data rendering.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, provide career guidance, and participate in recruitment to build a high-performing UI team.
- Enhance the frontend development workflow, including automation, CI/CD pipelines, and tooling improvements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in modern front-end development.
- Expert-level proficiency in Vue.js (including Composition API, Vue Router, Pinia; SSR experience is a plus).
- Strong foundational knowledge of React.js, including its component model, hooks, and architectural patterns.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing comprehensive test strategies using tools like Vitest, Vue Test Utils, or Jest.
- Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization, browser rendering internals, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Demonstrated leadership in code reviews, sprint planning, architectural design, and project execution.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical vision to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience tackling advanced UI challenges involving large datasets, dynamic rendering, canvas-based interfaces, or visual editors.
- Ability to interpret design artifacts and proactively suggest UX or implementation improvements that maintain product intent while optimizing for scalability.
Bonus Points
- Domain experience in call center technologies, particularly Genesys Cloud, customer engagement platforms, or agent tooling.
- Experience with component libraries (e.g., Storybook), design systems, and micro frontends.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, container-based deployments, and cloud-based frontend infrastructure (e.g., Vercel, Netlify, AWS).
