The Job At-A-Glance

Q2 is seeking an experienced and results-driven Professional Services Sales Specialist to join our team. This key individual will be responsible for driving sales & scoping of new Professional Services engagements, working closely with the Professional Services, Sales, and Customer Success organizations. Activities will include leading cross-functional discussions on potential client engagements, building relationships and presenting to leadership teams of our customers, and performing due diligence efforts. This individual will play a key role in achieving sales targets and maximizing profitability.

This position can be a remote position and will require travel to our Austin, TX headquarters as well as traveling onsite to clients.

A Typical Day

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue from professional services offerings.

  • Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, qualifying leads, and conducting sales presentations to potential clients.

  • Solution Selling: Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and challenges, and recommend professional services that leverage our Q2 solutions.

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and resource for their ongoing service needs.

  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to clients, outlining the scope of services, pricing, and terms of engagement.

  • Project Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including consultants, project managers, and support staff, to ensure successful delivery of services and client satisfaction.

  • Sales Forecasting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports with Q2 Pricing Analysts and Finance Team to drive sales activity and progress against targets.

  • Market Intelligence: Conduct research about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics, and use this knowledge to position our services effectively in the market.

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years of related B2B business development experience; or an advanced degree with 8+ years of experience or equivalent related work experience.

  • Proven track record of success in professional services sales, with a minimum of 12 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Previous experience in the financial services industry preferred.

  • Strong ability to build relationships both internally and with customer teams.

  • Strong influencing, negotiation and closing skills.

  • Previous experience building relationships with C-level executives.

  • Superior communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions to clients.

  • Strong understanding of professional services delivery processes and methodologies.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.

  • Ability to prioritize numerous opportunities and initiatives as needed.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and CRM software.

  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.

Q2’s compensation reflects the cost of labor across a variety of U.S. geographic markets, and we pay based upon the applicant’s geographic location as well as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the applicant’s actual geographic location during the hiring process. Salary ranges for Sales positions are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission). A variable bonus and/or restricted stock unit grant may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
