V-Label Junior Quality Manager (m/f/d)

Role Summary

The V-Label is an internationally recognised, registered symbol for labelling vegan and vegetarian products and services. As part of the QM team you are on the forefront of keeping the label the most trusted Label in Germany. You will together with the QM team ensure that our checking procedures take into account all known risk factors, support the various internal V-Label DE teams, inspection bodies, licensees and work closely with the international V-Label team with the goal to ensure unified and streamlined QM procedures and best in class experience for all peers (internal and external).

Department: V-Label

Location: Berlin, Germany or remote in Germany

Hours: 30 - 40 per week

Responsibilities

• Researching and documenting of potentially critical ingredients and manufacturing processes in various areas (Food & Non-Food)
• Supporting the licensees and international V-Label partners with regard to production-related avoidance of cross-contamination in accordance with the V-Label criteria
• Acting as a contact person for the V-Label team regarding audits and other QM topics (process optimisation, avoidance of cross-contamination, etc.)
• Managing audit communication; with licensees and control bodies
  • Coordinating of inspection institutes for audit execution
  • Calling customers for inspection matters
• Evaluating audit reports/checklists, determining measures and follow-up, risk-dependent determination of the time period until the follow-up audit
• Training of auditors
• Contributing to quarterly targets and annual targets for the QM department
• Checking of to be licensed products
• Supporting creation and maintenance of documentation such as process description

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of chemistry, proven by either a successfully completed vocational training as a laboratory assistant; or in the fields of pharmacy, biology, chemistry, food sciences, or equivalent (apprenticeship/BSc degree)
• Is familiar with digital working and confident in using online tools
• Interest in researching manufacturing processes
• Demonstrates curiosity and enthusiasm for the vegan status of consumer goods
• Ability to work independently with a keen eye for detail
• Good communication skills and intercultural competence
• Strong organisational skills, reliability and proactive problem-solving abilities
• Exhibits a positive, respectful and enthusiastic work attitude
• Thrives as a team player and enjoys working remotely from home
• Resilient, communicative and empathetic attitude to work
• Maintains a friendly demeanour even in stressful situations
• Willingness to travel to potential on-site audits
• Excellent written and spoken German skills (C2)
• A very good command of written and spoken English (C1)
  
  

• Experience in writing work instructions, maintaining documents and developing processes
• Experience in maintaining a knowledge database
• Experience in project management
• Knowledge of certification of seals or standards (V-Label, organic, ISO, IFS, etc.).
