Progressive Bank

Progressive Bank is a community bank headquartered in Monroe, Louisiana, that has been serving customers since October 1975 when it was originally founded as Progressive State Bank in Winnsboro, Louisiana. Founded by George W. Cummings, Jr., the bank was initially dedicated to serving the special banking needs of the agricultural community in the Franklin Parish area. Under his leadership, the bank grew to assets of over $42 million by the end of 1996.

In 1997, the company expanded beyond Franklin Parish under the guidance of CEO George W. Cummings, III, entering the Ouachita Parish market with a location in Monroe. This expansion also brought the name change from Progressive State Bank to Progressive Bank. Today, Progressive Bank operates nine financial center locations across North Louisiana, serving customers in Monroe, West Monroe, Winnsboro, Bossier City, and Shreveport. The bank's assets have grown from $46 million in September 1997 to over $812 million as of June 2024, with deposits of $681 million and loans of nearly $520 million. With over 130 employees, Progressive Bank offers a comprehensive range of personal and business banking products and services, including deposit solutions, lending, wealth management, and private banking.
