Why this Role ExistsThe Senior Manager of Patient Recruitment holds a pivotal role in orchestrating patient outreach, digital and social advertising, call center operations, and on-site recruitment efforts, alongside patient identification, and education initiatives. This position is integral to the development and expansion of patient recruitment endeavors, ensuring seamless patient experiences and sustained engagement. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer directly and in collaboration with Chief Executive Officer, this cross functional role works extensively with various departments to enhance patient care, optimize call center operations, and drive technological advancements. This role cultivates deep expertise in therapeutic indications to develop efficient recruitment, advertising, and retention strategies, including expected recruitment rates. ResponsibilitiesThis mission-driven, high IQ/EQ dynamic leader will focus on the following key responsibilities and understands the position will require other related duties as assigned. · Patient Recruitment Strategy Development: Spearheaded the formulation of patient recruitment strategies encompassing digital social media campaigns, community outreach, diversity initiatives, site promotions, and data management tailored to specific therapeutic areas. Outline, delegate, and supervise the work of the Patient Recruitment and Advertisement teams, evaluating workload, quality, and budget metrics through regular review and reporting of risks and issues. Ensure the creation and execution of advertising campaigns adhere to timelines and budgetary constraints. · Patient Recruitment & Engagement Center (PERC) Management: Strategically develop and oversee the PERC program, focusing on patient pre-screening, recruitment, retention, and engagement while adhering to regulatory guidelines.· Collaborative Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication with embedded recruiters and physicians, enhancing the patient journey from initial contact to study completion.· Team Development: Identify, train, and nurture the Patient Recruitment, Advertisement and PERC team, ensuring adherence to approved protocols and continuous professional growth. Serve as a subject matter expert in patient engagement, recruitment, and retention.· Diversity Support: Partner with leadership to implement patient recruitment and engagement programs aimed at fostering diversity and inclusivity. Develop and refine processes and tools for patient recruitment, advertisement, and retention utilizing diverse strategies. Act as the primary liaison with Patient Advocacy Groups and Physician Network Groups.· Technology Integration: Source and implement technological solutions facilitating patient communication, feedback, and problem resolution, ensuring consistent interactions with patients and healthcare professionals. Develop data-driven modeling processes, delivering metrics and analytics to teams, clients, and leadership to assess recruitment strategy efficacy and identify areas for improvement.· Performance Measurement: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge patient satisfaction, recruitment effectiveness, and operational efficiency, facilitating data-driven decision-making. · Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to uphold regulatory standards and ensure adherence to best practices in clinical research. Evaluate the feasibility of successful patient recruitment, advertisement, and retention strategies for clinical trials, identifying risks and devising risk management plans.· Cross-functional leadership: Liaise with various organizational departments to align strategies and streamline processes across multiple sites, fostering a cohesive approach to patient engagement and recruitment. Provide insightful feedback on the cost and pricing structure for recruitment, advertisement, and retention services. Collaborate with internal teams to operationalize and implement top-tier strategies to meet client recruitment and retention objectives. · Continuous Improvement: Champion initiatives to enhance call center operations, drive innovation, and foster a supportive work environment conducive to employee satisfaction and corporate success. Manage staff by overseeing resourcing, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and professional development guidance. Manage recruitment vendors' qualifications, review proposals, negotiate contracts, and recommend new vendors as necessary in collaboration with Project Managers and Quality Assurance. Requirements· Bachelor's degree in Life Science or related field; MBA preferred.· 7+ years of experience in patient recruitment or call center management of a site network.· Proven leadership skills with a track record of team development and motivation.· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.· Good knowledge of good clinical practices, and applicable Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations/guidelines· Proficiency in technology utilization and project management.· Ability to adapt to changing business dynamics and drive proactive change initiatives.· Willingness to travel as required (~10%).Physical Requirements· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing and walking.· Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.· Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.· Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.· Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.· The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
