You will be responsible for the management and execution of reimbursement strategies to facilitate patient access to therapy/surgery, mitigate reimbursement barriers for Aquablation providers, and optimize market access for Aquablation.You will be the collaborative bridge between field operations and strategic decisions, working closely with clinicians, administrators, and our internal sales and marketing teams at PROCEPT. What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:
- Educate and train new hospitals and practices on coding, coverage, payment and patient authorization rules, regulations, and processes.
- Organize and lead reimbursement education meetings for existing customers.
- Serve as primary ongoing reimbursement resource for hospital and practice customers.
- Collaborate closely and routinely with field sales teams in your geography. Act as their primary reimbursement resource.
- Work with Aquablation patients to understand insurance coverage and payer appeals processes.
- Solicit, analyze, present, and discuss customer financial data as part of periodic customer business reviews.
The Qualifications We Need You to Possess:
- A Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree, or equivalent combination of experience/education.
- 5+ years of medical device reimbursement and/or health economics experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with US private payers and Medicare coverage and payment.
- High level of interpersonal skills: influencing, resolving conflict, and creative problem solving.
- Must be an excellent communicator and educator.
- Strong written, verbal and presentations skills with the ability to present, persuade physicians, physician offices, hospital administrators and key opinion leaders with respect to the Company’s reimbursement strategies.
- Previous experience working closely and collaboratively with field sales teams.
- Comfortable working virtually, with flexible workplace arrangements and business virtual technologies.
- The ability to manage complex problems and projects while exercising independent decision-making and analytical thinking skills, with minimal supervision
- This position is field based. Ability to travel up to 60% of the time. Proximity to major airport a plus
