We’re seeking a rockstar Head of Growth Marketing to own and scale our email and SMS marketing strategy across the full top, mid, and bottom-funnel student lifecycle — from lead capture to enrollment — for our university partners’ for-credit programs. You will be responsible for driving massive volume, optimizing performance through data and experimentation, and leading a team of campaign managers and marketing ops specialists to execute flawlessly and fast.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who thrives on fast decision-making, loves building scalable systems, and is obsessed with conversion funnels, segmentation, and lifecycle messaging. You will report to the CMO and collaborate closely with our Enrollment, Brand Marketing, and University Success teams.
What You’ll Do
Own the email and SMS strategy to drive student lead generation, engagement, and conversion for Podium’s university programs
Design, test, and optimize multi-step nurture funnels based on behavioral triggers and enrollment data
Lead a team of campaign managers and marketing operations experts to build and execute large-scale, high-precision campaigns
Manage high-volume email and SMS sends across multiple campaigns, segments, and partners — no stranger to sending thousands of messages per week
Analyze performance daily and weekly using Iterable, Salesforce, and Tableau; constantly iterate on content, cadence, segmentation, and timing to improve conversion rates
Collaborate with brand marketers and creative to develop compelling, conversion-focused messaging and creative
Own the integration and operational use of Iterable and Twilio to power personalized, automated communications at scale
Ensure high deliverability, compliance, and best practices for email and SMS at scale
Who You Are
10-15 years of experience in growth and lifecycle marketing, ideally in a high-volume B2C or education-focused environment with a focus on high-impact optimizations
Deep expertise in Iterable or similar lifecycle marketing platforms (Braze, Klaviyo, etc.)
Demonstrated success managing very large email/SMS lists and improving conversion rates across multiple audience segments
Strong analytical skills — highly proficient in experimentation, segmentation, A/B testing, campaign optimization, and deriving insights that set clear direction for the team on what will be most impactful
Builder for scale — track record of building systems and teams that scale through the use of automation and AI
Creative and copy-savvy — able to ideate and oversee messaging that drives engagement and conversion
High attention to detail — you QA everything and expect the same of your team
Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
A collaborative leader and coach — able to inspire a team to move fast and execute with excellence
