Description
PingWind (PW) provides software and hardware support and enhancements to the Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) program which consists of seven facilities that automatically transmit prescription data from a Veterans Affairs Medical Center to a CMOP facility. The CMOP host facility then mails prescriptions from an integrated and highly automated outpatient prescription dispensing system. The CMOP program delivers over 120,000,000 prescriptions a year through their different locations. This is a critical system supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs in servicing Veterans, their families, and their caregivers. The candidate will facilitate writing requirement documents dedicated to the sustainment and modernization of the CMOP facilities consistent with each project’s objectives. Specifically the analyst will:
· Write software requirements documents for a variety of projects across all sites. The candidate must have strong leadership skills that lend themselves to managing multiple tasks successfully from inception to acceptance. · Ability to effectively resolve conflicting customer opinions on projects.· Ability to coordinate with cross functional teammates to ensure cross functional involvement early in each project’s requirements gathering steps.· Facilitate project requirement related meetings with subject matter experts and stakeholders.· The analyst reviews business cases and other information such as defects/bugs, and interviews subject matter experts (SMEs) to draft requirements from this source information. · Investigates user problems and needs in developing requirements documents for new applications or enhancements to existing applications.Analyzes user project proposals to include identifying potential problem areas and recommend optimum approaches for the project path.Possesses the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and to analyze and solve complex problems.Demonstrates strong oral and written communications skills and maintains an overall knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and Agile/Scrum.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technologies, or technical discipline (or 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education). Desired, but not required, is 2+ years of experience in the field of industrial process automation like that in the CMOP.Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship. This position requires the ability to obtain a VA designated High-Risk Background Investigation (BI).Experience writing software requirements documents.Proven experience in managing projects for large development initiatives that are similar in scope and complexity to the VA’s CMOP. Background in Agile development/support.
