Pine Cove

In 1967, Bill McKenzie answered a calling from God to create a place where young people could experience Jesus Christ in a meaningful, life-changing way. What began as a single camp in East Texas has grown into one of the most beloved Christian youth camp organizations in America, with 13 camps spanning East Texas, Central Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina. Today, Pine Cove serves more than 40,000 campers each summer, offering overnight camps for grades 2-12, day camps for grades 1-6, and family camps that bring generations together in faith and fun.

Pine Cove's mission is simple yet profound: to be used by God to transform the lives of people for His purposes and His glory. Everything the organization does flows from three core values - being Christ-centered, others-focused, and seriously fun. Through worship services called Club, Bible studies, one-on-one counselor time called Hangtimes, and countless outdoor activities like water sports and ropes courses, campers encounter the Gospel in ways that resonate deeply with young hearts. The organization also demonstrates its commitment to accessibility through the McKenzie Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to over 3,500 campers annually who could not otherwise afford camp. As a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors, Pine Cove relies on donor support and dedicated staff to continue its ministry of pointing people toward Christ.
