Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer to support a large-scale digital transformation, integration modernization, and loyalty platform evolution program within the QSR and e-commerce ecosystem. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality delivery of cloud-native microservices, API orchestration platforms, identity systems, and loyalty-driven customer journeys.

The QA Engineer will work closely with product owners, business analysts, developers, DevOps, and architects to design, execute, and automate comprehensive testing strategies across backend services, APIs, integration hubs, and mobile/web platforms.

Strong experience in e-commerce, loyalty platforms (Paytronix preferred), API testing, event-driven systems, and cloud-native architectures is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for backend services, APIs, integration workflows, and event-driven systems.
  • Validate end-to-end e-commerce, loyalty, identity, and checkout journeys, ensuring seamless customer experience.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT testing across distributed microservices ecosystems.
  • Develop and maintain API automation frameworks for validating orchestration flows, authentication, caching, and proxy services.
  • Validate event-driven and asynchronous workflows, including pub-sub messaging, retry mechanisms, and graceful degradation scenarios.
  • Conduct data validation testing for loyalty profiles, transactions, rewards, identity flows, and system migrations.
  • Execute cloud-native testing strategies, including testing of stateless services, caching layers, and traffic routing mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipeline-based test automation and continuous testing practices.
  • Design and execute performance, resiliency, and failover test scenarios for highly available systems.
  • Track, triage, and manage defects using industry-standard tools, ensuring timely resolution and production readiness.
  • Actively participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, test planning, and release validation activities.
  • Create and maintain test documentation, test reports, dashboards, and quality metrics.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, automation coverage, and testing efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of experience in software quality engineering, with strong focus on backend, API, and integration testing.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Karate, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong experience in test automation using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience testing event-driven architectures, asynchronous workflows, and distributed systems.
  • Solid understanding of microservices, API gateways, caching layers, authentication systems, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience working with e-commerce platforms, loyalty systems (Paytronix preferred), or customer engagement ecosystems.
  • Strong experience in CI/CD integration and continuous testing pipelines.
  • Good working knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in performance and load testing using JMeter, Gatling, or similar tools.
  • Exposure to observability-driven testing using OpenTelemetry, logging, and tracing tools.
  • Experience testing mobile applications (iOS/Android) and cross-platform workflows.
  • Experience in QSR, retail, or high-scale consumer digital platforms.
  • Knowledge of feature flags, progressive delivery, and canary releases.
