Automation Engineer

Our client is a US based cybersecurity firm with globally recognized clients. They are on the lookout for their next Automation Engineer to join their remote Philippines team.



The Automation Engineer is focused on functioning as the primary automation resource for our client's internal operations, specifically as it pertains to their MSS practice. The Automation Engineer will function as a backup to the Sr. Automation Architect as well as contribute to maintaining the infrastructure, process, and workflow as it pertains to those operations and the SOAR platform internally. This includes some project management, documentation, mentorship, expertise in infrastructure development and maintenance, training, audit, and operating as an expert and advisor in the development and evolution of our client's Automation Services. The Automation Engineer is a member of the 96Bravo Team and will utilize technical expertise and polite professional etiquette while performing the following duties:

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate expertise in the areas of Automation, Development, and Cloud Technologies.
• Develop and document processes for internal automation, development projects, and operational workflows.
• Assist in the scoping and deployment of an SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
• Work with the team to identify internal automation opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of industry-wide trends and technologies related to automation and cloud technologies.
• Coordinate with team managers and senior architects for process improvement and service evolution.
• Assist in the development of internal training programs, activities, and initiatives.
• Act as a subject matter expert in developing and implementing automation solutions.

  

Skill and Knowledge Requirements:

• Minimum 4+ years of Development Experience in Python or JavaScript.
• Engineering experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with staff and other teams.
• Network architecture and design knowledge.
• Ability to create and present to both customer and internal parties.
• Strong project planning and organizational skills.
• Industry standard awareness.
• Cloud infrastructure knowledge.
  

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with SOAR platforms
• Cybersecurity background
• Threat research experience
