As a Field Sales Trainer, you will play an integral part in growing Penumbra in Latin America by supporting the Marketing Manager in providing support to the sales teams in the areas of disease state, product features and benefits, competition, market development, procedural coverage, troubleshooting, education and training, customer service and follow-up.
What You’ll Work OnMarket Development• Work with Brazil management team to prioritize training needs, create a training plan aimed at increasing market share and improving quality of service to customers and patients. • Establish a system of communication with stakeholders (marketing and sales team) to ensure the plan developed with the manager has been implemented according to the quarterly objectives. • Develop relationships with distributors key personnel to identify potential training needs for sales team or internal personnel, products in-service with final customers, presentations, and other product/disease state level up opportunities.• Attend meetings alongside the distributors with existing and potential customers to identify their clinical needs, goals and constraints related to patient care, and to demonstrate how Company products can help them achieve their goals. Education and Training• Develop a continuous education system for internal training to keep the distribution channel and Company TMs and ATMs updated about Company technologies, data, talk-track, and others. • Utilize the company’s LMS to achieve Company training goals and needs.• Educate distributor sales force and potential customers on the merits and proper clinical use of Company products by giving presentations and demonstrations, using slides, flow model, brochures and other platforms and formats. • Keep distributors abreast of the latest product, therapy, clinical data and technology developments, and current items of interest in the industry. • Assist in marketing and professional education activities sponsored by Penumbra, including PEER meetings, hospital thrombectomy symposia, and others. • Assist in training new employees, including Territory Managers, Clinical Specialists & Distributor’s teams.Customer Service• Serve as primary resource for clinical support in the areas of procedural case coverage, basic troubleshooting, and follow-up for Company products. • Report and track all product incidents at centers, following Company procedures and seeking input from appropriate personnel to resolve problems. • Respond to customer needs and complaints by developing creative solutions, working in collaboration with senior management, sales, and marketing. • Prospect and develop relationships with prospective customers and/or users of Penumbra products, converting them to Penumbra customers
What You Contribute• A Bachelor’s degree in healthcare field (Ex: biology, nurse, technician) with 5+ years of working in a hospital setting or a medical device company, or equivalent combination of education experience.• Intermediate to Advanced English to foster communication with peers in US and Other countries.• Strong clinical, technical, and organizational skills• Ability to function in a busy, demanding, and competitive environment• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Working ConditionsGeneral remote work environment. Business travel (across Brazil) Travel up to 70% of the time. When assisting a procedure, potential exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials. Ability to wear protection devices (like plumb protection) and other safety measures to assist on a procedure. Occasional/Rarely on-call availability at least 50-75% of the time (based on geographic assignment). Able to lift 20 pounds. Extended periods of time doing computer-based work. Hearing, sight and speaking ability. Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Ability to use computers and CT reconstruction programming. Ability to travel extensively by car and plane. Wear a lead apron for long periods of time (2-3hrs on average). Ability to operate a moving vehicle. Ability to work in Cath Labs or ORs with radiation exposure. Ability to conduct company business outside of the typical Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, work-schedule. Environmental Exposures: Infectious disease; radiation; blood borne pathogens. Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
