As a Technical Implementation Analyst on the Carrier Product team, you will own the translation of carrier underwriting guidelines and APIs into the requirements that ship on Pathpoint. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, Underwriting, Operations, and our carrier partners to keep our integrations accurate, current, and aligned with how agents do business. At Pathpoint, this role has one foot in the world of technology and one foot in the world of insurance.

What we look for:

  • 2-3 years of experience as a technical analyst, implementation analyst, or business systems analyst, ideally in insurance, financial services, or technology.
  • Detail-oriented and rigorous when documenting requirements, with a track record of producing specs engineers can build from.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs and tools like Postman and Bruno; comfortable reading API documentation and validating responses.
  • Comfortable aggregating and interpreting data from a wide variety of sources.
  • Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar) to accelerate research, requirements writing, and API analysis. Hungry to keep getting better at it.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; effective at prioritizing and following through across a wide variety of tasks.
  • Self-starter who assimilates new tasks, tools, and processes quickly.
  • Commercial insurance experience (e.g. general liability, property, etc) preferred.

What You'll Do:

  • Translate carrier underwriting guidelines and API documentation into clear engineering requirements.
  • Evaluate carrier APIs against Pathpoint's platform: identify gaps, edge cases, and required field mappings before build begins.
  • Document, prioritize, and track requirements across carrier underwriting guidelines, engineering tickets, and internal knowledge bases.
  • Build and execute QA test plans against carrier integrations, partnering with engineering to confirm builds match specifications.
  • Maintain ongoing carrier integration health by surfacing API issues, ingesting carrier guideline changes, and turning them into actionable updates.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Sales, and Operations to confirm carrier business logic is reflected accurately in our agent-facing experience and support internal workflows.

What We Offer

  • Insurance coverage fit for an insurance company – with some plans at no cost to you
  • Competitive compensation, equity, and total rewards
  • 401(k) with an annual company match
  • 20-days of PTO (increased to 25-days after 2-years)
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Remote-first working environment with investments in in-person collaboration
  • Annual $500 home office stipend
  • Monthly $75 internet stipend
  • Generous paid parental leave
