About Super Age

Super Age helps readers unlock the science and art of living longer, better. Our flagship newsletter, The Mindset, delivers breakthrough longevity research, expert insights, and practical tools across movement, nutrition, sleep, mindset, connection, and purpose. We combine research-backed guidance with sophisticated storytelling for an audience of over 1.2 million people who want to live better, longer.

About the Role

We are seeking a part-time Commerce Editor to build and lead Super Age’s emerging commerce editorial program. This role combines product curation, editorial writing, expert verification, brand outreach, and light testing coordination. You will help determine which products appear in upcoming drops, communicate directly with brands, ensure all claims and recommendations are accurate, and craft a trustworthy, elevated commerce voice for Super Age.

You’ll collaborate closely with the editorial, partnerships, and design teams to deliver product selections and commerce stories that feel aligned with Super Age’s research-backed, longevity-focused mission. As the program grows, you may coordinate freelance testers or contributors to support additional coverage.

This is a 10–15 hour per week contractor role with the potential to evolve as the commerce program expands.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be accountable for…

Product Selection & Commerce Editorial
Participate in determining which products will be featured in upcoming drops—evaluating editorial fit, longevity relevance, and category-testing criteria. Shape the story behind each product and communicate why it matters for our readers.

Brand Outreach & Relationship Building
Proactively reach out to brands to gather product details, confirm claims, secure samples, and obtain assets. Build and maintain relationships with brand partners to support a strong commerce pipeline.

Testing & Expert Verification
Coordinate product testing, either performed by you or freelance testers, and gather structured feedback. Verify claims with experts and studies when needed, ensuring a high level of accuracy, integrity, and trustworthiness in every recommendation.

Freelancer Collaboration
Identify and manage freelancers or testers who can support product reviews, assigning products and synthesizing their findings into clear, polished editorial.

Writing & Storytelling
Write compelling commerce content, including product descriptions, drop overviews, and editorialized recommendations. Maintain a clean, informed, elevated voice that aligns with Super Age’s tone.

Commerce Operations & Budget Awareness
Collaborate on budgets related to testing, freelancers, and expert verification. Support operational workflows as the commerce program matures.

Why Join Us

This is an opportunity to build a commerce function inside one of the fastest-growing longevity and lifestyle brands in digital media. You’ll contribute to meaningful, research-informed product recommendations that help readers live longer, healthier, more inspired lives—while shaping a new editorial pillar from the ground up.

Requirements

  • Experience in commerce editing, product journalism, or editorial roles involving product recommendations
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to match the Super Age voice
  • Ability to build relationships with experts, brands, and industry stakeholders
  • Experience rigorously verifying product claims and uphold editorial integrity
  • Comfort coordinating product testing and reviewing tester feedback
  • Familiarity with editorial workflows and tools (CMS, Airtable, Google Workspace)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments
  • Genuine interest in longevity, wellness, performance, lifestyle products, and research-backed storytelling

Benefits

This contractor role will start at 10–15 hours per week, with the hope and intention that it evolves into a full-time position over time.
