About the role
- The iGaming Managing Editor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the iGaming editing team and leading the team’s development to an outstanding level of quality. This role involves delegating tasks, managing priorities according to company needs, and ensuring our articles meet editorial standards.
This role can be 100% remote worldwide. Native English proficiency required.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Workload Management: Assign tasks, manage workloads, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Talent Acquisition: Lead the hiring process for iGaming editors.
- Training Program Development: Design and implement training programs that equip iGaming editors with necessary skills.
- Guidance and Feedback: Provide clear direction and guidance to the iGaming editing team as well as occasional feedback to the writing team.
- Team Values: Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the editing team.
- Quality Assurance: Track the progress of deliverables and verify they meet the defined quality standards in terms of SEO, style, publishing guidelines, and internal linking.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams to improve our articles and ensure alignment in strategic decisions.
- Keyword Research and Content Planning Assistance: Contribute to keyword research and content planning efforts of the content management team.
Requirements:
- Advanced SEO knowledge.
- Extensive understanding of the iGaming industry, including casino games and sports betting.
- Proven experience in an editing role.
- At least 1 year of experience managing and coordinating a team of 5 or more people.
- Native or near-native fluency in English.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of editors.
- Keen eye for detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
