We are Oxford Nanopore Technologies, and our goal is to enable the analysis of anything, by anyone, anywhere. Founded in 2005 as a spin-out from the University of Oxford, we have dedicated ourselves to developing a new generation of nanopore-based sensing technology. This technology is designed to bring the widest possible benefits to society by making DNA and RNA sequencing accessible, fast, and rich in data. Our journey began with a vision to disrupt the traditional methods of biological analysis, and today, our technology is used in over 120 countries to explore the biology of humans, plants, animals, bacteria, viruses, and entire environments. Our team is at the heart of our innovation. We employ over 1,000 people from a multitude of disciplines, including nanopore science, molecular biology, informatics, engineering, and manufacturing. This multidisciplinary collaboration is key to our success. We've developed a range of products, from the portable MinION to the high-throughput PromethION, all designed to be scalable and user-friendly. Our technology is unique in its ability to provide real-time analysis of native DNA or RNA, sequencing fragments of any length to deliver a comprehensive genomic picture.
