The video production manager is a key contributor within Outside Inc.’s Sales and Advertising Marketing department. Working with key stakeholders across the department and cross-functionally with editors and producers in our Entertainment division, this role’s main focus will be managing all video productions and deliverables created with our brand partners. While the primary focus will be on digital and social-first video creation and management, the video production manager will also assist with creative concepting, proposal creation, and serve as a primary liaison with our clients.
- The video production manager is responsible for helping plan, facilitate, and execute all of custom video projects, including digital and social-first executions and deliverables
- Project lead on majority of custom video projects, providing general support, production coordination, and managing production calendars
- Reporting to the VP of custom content and creative services, production manager will work with all internal stakeholders, including sales team, account managers, social strategists, video editors, and custom content team to create all video deliverables
- Alongside VP of Marketing and Video Strategy and others, assist in the management of booking/hiring/overseeing of producers, video crews, editors, creators, and talent
- Collaborate on scripting, treatment writing, and creative concepting on all video deliverables
- Manage all stages of video development and elements, including research, budget management, location scouting, permits, shoot scheduling, and coordination of all housing and transportation for shoot
- On location, production manager helps oversee all aspects of the shoot, including collaborating with agency and client representatives and being the liaison with producers/directors
- Commission 3rd party contractors and building logistics plans for major productions
- Build and coordinate internal pre-production materials, including pre-pro decks, mood boards, and other client-facing materials
- Collaborate with creative strategists, media planners, and other stakeholders to conceptualize and craft video-driven pitches to brand partners
- Bring new, creative ideas to the table, and keep Outside’s sales and sales support teams aligned and working effectively
- Help develop new creative and engaging video-forward topics/ideas/franchises, keeping track of best practices and making recommendations to ensure we stay ahead of the curve
- Various other ad marketing sales-related tasks as assigned including but not limited to social media, events , assisting with projects, and more
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Relevant experience in video production, account management, and creative services
- Excellent creative writing and ideation abilities with strong presentation / communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Must be detail-oriented, organized and have the ability to prioritize day-to-day responsibilities
- Team-oriented and collaborative

- Dedicated to keeping up to date on the evolving media and technology landscape
- Proficient in Google Suite, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Must be available to travel to shoot locations and work flexible hours.
Remote jobs and those jobs that can be located in Boulder, Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $50,000 to $65,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission. Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away, sick leave, and many more. The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for this role, and may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors
