About the role:

The Ecom Platform Team is looking for an exceptionally talented, passionate, and curious individual to join us as a Staff Software Engineer. Our engineers are problem solvers who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in e-commerce. We are transforming how businesses sell online and build customer loyalty. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who enjoys tackling complex challenges, learning new technologies, and driving innovative solutions. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping our core integrations, leading technical initiatives, and ensuring the scalability and success of our platform.

What you will do:

  • Lead the development of features and solutions that enhance the experience for Ordergroove’s partners and clients, enabling seamless collaboration and a frictionless integration journey.
  • Write high-impact, efficient code that aligns with our long-term strategy of scaling new merchants, reducing time to launch, and driving operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with our partners and internal teams to understand their needs, provide technical leadership, and deliver solutions that align with business goals.
  • Design and build scalable, highly available integrations with leading e-commerce platforms, including Shopify, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, and others, ensuring robust and efficient data flow across systems.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, while proactively taking the initiative on high-impact projects and driving technical excellence.

Who you are:

7+ years of full stack experience with focus on the backend development

  • Proven expertise in Node/Js, Python
  • Comfortable working with frontend technologies Like React/ NextJS
  • Technical leadership experience — you've led teams as a tech lead, owned architectural decisions, and driven the delivery of end-to-end products
  • Effective communicator, able to articulate complex ideas and discuss abstract concepts with ease.
  • Experience with databases and message queues in distributed systems
  • Reliable team player that's ready to help others when needed

Bonus Points:

  • You are familiar with Google Gcloud, Kubernetes, and Serverless Deployments
  • You have experience with one or more e-commerce products, high traffic SaaS products.
  • Experience in designing and building scalable integration solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity
  • Experience working in fast-paced, mid-size startup environment
  • Past experience of building Shopify Apps, Shopify Extensions and Bigcommerce etc
  • Engineering management experience, you’ve managed engineers, mentoring and driving delivery across projects
