We are looking for a motivated thought leader to help build our practice of Financials Solution Engineers while managing multi pillar opportunity growth in the Energy/Utility Market at Oracle. This leader will have an amazing opportunity to work as a trusted advisor to both the solution engineering and sales organizations, as well as, with our Product Development team.

As a thought leader of our pre-sales team you will have a major impact on our future success. The goal of the team is to grow this business, along with support from the executive team and sales. Individuals applying for this role must be entrepreneurial and self-driven with a passion for selling software’s value to an organization and creating a team culture of innovation with pride in delivery.

As the Manager of Solution Engineering, you will be responsible for helping to develop our go-to-market strategy and supporting strategic sales opportunities. You will share your knowledge and expertise to help prepare a team of solution engineers for executing their opportunities and communicate with product development teams to improve our product for the industry. You will be Leading and often facilitating key demonstration activities such as discoveries, solution planning meetings, dry run/dress rehearsals, and demonstrations, and ensuring that our leading practices are being followed when executing SE activities.

Strategic Sales Partnership

Manage a partnership with your key stakeholders to help develop a strategic plan for the industry/regional sectors you support and the way you will work together on executing the plan.

Tactical Sales Partnership

Help develop great opportunity and account strategies and engage the appropriate presales teams to support them. You will also run and attend deal clinics and reviews, dry runs and dress rehearsals. You will act as a sponsor or a lead for certain key deals and accounts. You will also run regular business reviews with sales management to ensure alignment on priorities and progress on key deals.

Team Management

Create and sustain an environment where your team is inspired, informed, educated, enabled, recognized and rewarded with the goal of ensuring you have a successful and, above all, a happy team. Typical activities include: Team meetings, 1:1s, Best Practice sharing. Weekly time card review and approval, overtime review and approval, expense report review and approval, and weekly time entry and data quality.

Business improvement initiatives

You will also be expected to lead or participate in projects and initiatives across Solution Engineering to help solve problems and improve as a business.

Key Areas of Responsibility and Tasks

Primary Responsibilities in this Role

  • Responsible for growing and enabling a team of high-powered pre-sales solution engineers.
  • Drive development of re-usable solutions, enablement kits and other sales assets within the team.
  • Support programs for enabling the core product sales and solution engineering teams to drive sales, adoption, and value proposition.
  • Establish and maintain relationship with key sales leaders to pursue opportunities in your territory.
  • Work collaboratively in the field with Oracle system implementation partners.
  • Develop critical relationships with industry evaluation firms.
  • Strive to make every interaction with our customers an experience by continuously looking for ways for the team to connect, engage, and inspire our customers.
  • Help develop and contribute to sales campaigns focused on the Energy/Utility Market

To be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

  • Extensive Pre-sales solution engineering, sales engineering, or professional services leadership experience in Financials, HCM, EPM, SCM or CX
  • Strong people management abilities with the charisma to inspire and lead.
  • Proven pre-sales skills, including the ability to customize solutions, facilitate product demonstrations and effectively communicate value proposition and key differentiators to prospects.
  • Experience communicating with both business and technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • A passion evangelizing our capabilities and success.
  • A self-starter who will take the initiative to develop programs for enablement and growth.
  • A high degree of passion, energy, drive, and willingness to travel.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $120,800 to $207,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 60/40 - 65/35.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
