Opisto was born in 2010 after a difficult experience: as students, the founders wanted to race in the 4L Trophy and were looking for second-hand parts to limit costs. What they thought would be simple turned into a real challenge. They discovered all the difficulties that an individual or professional could encounter in finding used parts. There was no tool to consult available parts or order them online. They had to call scrapyards, travel around, and sometimes waste time on poor quality parts they had to dismantle themselves.

This obstacle course was a revelation: an entire market was waiting to move into the digital age, and it was promising because it responded to two societal issues: the purchasing power of motorists and the environment. Opisto revolutionized the sector by bringing all the potential of digitalization in terms of simplicity, visibility, and transparency. Today, Opisto is the largest online platform for second-hand car parts in France, with over 4 million parts on the platform, serving both professionals through opisto.pro and individuals through opisto.fr.
