As a scrum master, you're passionate about outcomes and supporting a development team that's modernizing critical projects. You know the importance of Agile best practices and how to combat challenges early to get work done. We need a scrum master like you to create solutions that will change the world.

On our team, you'll apply your functional knowledge to coach a development team to focus on sprint goals, ensuring the project is successfully progressed. You'll apply basic scrum principles and concepts to resolve routine problems. Using tools like JIRA, Atlassian and confluence , you'll strengthen sustainable process improvements to help your team accomplish sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.

In this role, you'll directly impact law enforcement by providing real-time data that drives changes in field operations. This is an opportunity to grow your experience in scrum sof tware development, IT project management, and tactical planning and delivery while developing and contributing to a variety of project solutions that will improve national security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate agile events.
  • Remove impediments and blockers to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Utilize Jira for tracking progress.
  • Provide ongoing support to the team as needed.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and Solutions Architects.
  • Use the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Align) and ServiceNow for change requests.
  • Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.)
  • Collaborate with client, product owner and project leader to ensure alignment and prioritize functionality
  • Facilitate interaction and appropriate communication between scrum teams, architecture and UX
  • Facilitate Agile training, as needed, within the LMI Agile Community
  • Collect and report progress metrics on a regular basis.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 5-7 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with a preference for around 10 years of overall experience.
  • Proven experience in agile development and implementation.
  • Strong coaching and training skills in agile methodologies.
  • Versatile experience as a Scrum Master across multiple companies and projects (data, application, infrastructure, etc.).
  • Proficiency with the Atlassian Suite (Confluence, Jira, Jira Align).
  • Scrum Master certification (any recognized certification is acceptable).
  • US and Canada resident only.

Medical Insurance
The coverage begins for the employee the on the first of the month following the first full 30 days of full-time employment for employees and their eligible dependents
Cost to the employee to participate in the plan varies by the coverage selection and the number of dependents; and may be subject to collective bargaining agreement
The employee may also elect to opt out of the County's medical insurance if proof of coverage is provided
Under this arrangement, the employee is provided with an annual opt out payment.
