ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Resource Planner to join the ePMO (project office) team. The Project Resource Planner will be responsible for efficiently allocating resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure successful project completion within budget and schedule constraints. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain project resource plans, including identifying resource requirements and availability.
• Coordinate with project managers and department heads to understand project objectives, timelines, and resource needs.
• Analyze project schedules and resource demands to identify potential conflicts and propose solutions.
• Allocate resources according to project priorities and constraints, taking into account factors such as skill sets, availability, and budget.
• Monitor resource utilization and adjust allocations as necessary to optimize productivity and minimize bottlenecks.
• Communicate resource plans and allocations to relevant stakeholders, providing regular updates on resource utilization and availability.
• Collaborate with HR, procurement, and other departments to ensure timely acquisition and deployment of resources.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance resource planning efficiency.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Formal Education and Certification

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.

Knowledge and Experience

• 1-3 years proven experience in project resource planning or project management, preferably in a similar industry.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar applications.
• Familiarity with resource management principles and techniques, such as resource leveling and critical path analysis.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to Have

• PMI approved - Project Management fundamentals training.
• Working knowledge of Project Portfolio Management preferred.
• PMI CAPM Certification.
• Experience with PPM applications such as: CA Clarity PPM, Kimble, Asana, Jira.
• Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies is a plus.
• Strong experience presenting ideas to management and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff.
• Experience with DevOps methodologies and processes, including IT Change Management process.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.

Personal Attributes

• Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities.
• Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for creating business cases, budgets, etc.
• Working knowledge of JIRA, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, Visio, and SharePoint a plus.
• Working knowledge of PMO governance.
• Solutions-oriented approach to solving complex problems and challenges.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) or comparable tool.
• Legally authorized to work for any company in the United States without sponsorship.
