Onera is hiring a hands on IT & Cloud Operations Manager to join our USA team on a unique and ambitious mission to better healthcare. You will be ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our US based cloud environments, healthcare applications as well as IT systems, supporting the organisations' business and technical requirements. You will join a multi - disciplinary energetic, young, and internationally minded scale-up team and work closely with peer customer support specialists, clinical specialists, software engineers, data and algorithm experts. What you will do:

  • Ensure systems (cloud based applications and general IT systems) security and performance supporting the technology needs of the organisation
  • Monitor cloud applications performance and usage, utilising tools and dashboards to track key metrics.
  • Oversee the organisations IT infrastructure including servers and software applications (pc applications, mobile apps, web apps)
  • Implement automation tools to streamline operations and minimize manual intervention.
  • Manage and resolve incidents related to cloud systems and applications, minimizing downtime and impact on healthcare operations.
  • Ensure the availability, scalability, and performance of cloud infrastructure and applications as well as other general IT systems.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure and IT systems, configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot application issues and IT systems issues ensuring timely resolution and respond to operational incidents
  • Create and update user guides, training materials, and operational manuals.
  • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect the organisation's data and systems (including sensitive health information). Develop and maintain IT policies and processes documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare and other relevant regulations and standards such as HIPAA, HITECH, and GDPR.
  • Conduct regular security and vulnerability assessments and audits, and respond to security incidents and breaches.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with development teams for the deployment and testing of new cloud-based applications and features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS SysOps Administrator Certification, AWS Security certification, ITIL ) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cloud and/or IT system management, with at least 3 years in a healthcare setting.
  • You have a good understanding and know-how of AWS services (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway, IoT, DynamoDB, RDS, EC2, SageMaker, API Gateway, etc) having worked with at least a subset of these
  • Proficiency with server administration, virtualisation technologies, and IT security
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog).
  • Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems and regulations (including HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, GDPR)
  • You have basic knowledge of Python3 and/or Typescript
  • You have excellent problem-solving skills , communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • You have excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work for system maintenance or emergency support.
