Job Description
DevOps Technical Skills:
Cloud Native Stack: Strong understanding and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Automation: Proficient in automation using APIs, CLIs, and SDKs.
Solution Design: Ability to design and implement optimized solutions to address business needs.
Cloud Technologies: Fair understanding of cloud-native technologies or expertise in hybrid cloud environments.
Databases: Exposure to the functionality of no-sql and sql databases.
Technical Problem Solving: Ability to solve complex business problems and ensure efficient scaling solutions.
SRE Technical Skills
Service Level Management: Understanding of SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets to balance reliability and delivery pace.
Observability: Exposure to implementing metrics, logs, and traces using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
Automation & Toil Reduction: Can demonstrate the automation of repetitive tasks and build self-healing systems.
Performance & Capacity: Can explain capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost-effective scaling.
Resilience Engineering: Can explain chaos testing, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery strategies.
Production Readiness: Participated in readiness reviews, creation of runbooks which supports safe deployment methods.
Client Relationship Management:
Customer Satisfaction: Commitment to achieving client satisfaction and enhancing client experiences.
Professional Engagement: Participation in professional engagements to build strong client relationships.
Client Outcomes: Delivering client outcomes in alignment with best practices and ensuring positive feedback.
Qualifications
Work Experience:
Relevant Experience: 3 to 5 years in a DevOps or SRE role, with a proven track record.
Cloud Migration Projects: Experience in migrating projects to cloud environments.
Large-Scale Environments: Exposure to managing large-scale environments involving 100k+ users is advantageous.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with tools like Terraform, Kubernetes (k8s), GitLab CI/CD, cloud networking, and databases. With deep understanding and hands-on experience in one of them.
Configuration Management: Experience with one of the configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Salt, Puppet).
Advanced OS and Networking Knowledge: Understanding of operating system-level and networking concepts.
Scripting: Proficiency in Linux, Bash, and scripting.
Certifications:
Required: Terraform, Kubernetes.
Preferred: AWS, GCP, or other cloud certifications.
Industry Experience:
Worked in the capacity of DevOps engineering and SRE roles with the ability to talk through practice work experience.
Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Job Requirements:
Client-Facing Consulting: Understanding of the role of a client facing consultant with direct experience being an advantage.
Cloud and Application Modernization: Consulting experience in cloud and application modernization.
