United States onlyThis is a part-time hybrid role for a Registered Dietitian, located in the Austin/Round Rock, Texas area, with some work from home flexibility (50%). This role is for long-term care and skilled nursing.
The Registered Dietitian will be responsible for:
- Providing expert guidance on residents' nutritional care.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, occupational and speech therapists, nursing staff, and the nutrition services team.
- Serve as an essential member of the interdisciplinary care team (IDT).
- Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for residents.
- Monitor and document nutritional care for residents with wounds, renal conditions, weight concerns, and those who receive enteral nutrition support.
- Lead and participate in Quality Assurance audits to ensure high standards of care.
- Conduct nutrition-focused physical assessments to support individualized care planning - nutritional documentation.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Dietetics and Medical Nutrition Therapy
- Skills in Nutritional Counseling and Weight Management
- Strong knowledge of general Nutrition
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technological skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential or Eligible to sit for RD Exam (RD2B).
- Must hold RD credential through CDR and be licensed in the State of Texas.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
- Experience in a clinical setting is preferred
