About the Role:

Our Senior Care Navigator will be the ultimate guide to Octave for our prospective clients. This role will contribute to Octave’s mission of expanding access by introducing clients to our innovative practice, welcoming new clients to Octave, and guiding them through the behavioral health landscape. They will be involved in interacting with our highest-needs clients, ensuring they receive the support in their time of need.

The ideal candidate has both a clinical and operational background, is a strong team player, and an innovative problem-solver with a passion for helping people navigate healthcare. You are self-aware, performance driven, and thrive off of solving tough problems. You have mastered the art of communication, executing on projects, and being a thought leader. You enjoy keeping busy and gain energy from working with clients, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct outreach to understand and assess higher risk clients’ needs, and take action when necessary with the support of clinical staff.
  • Support clients along their care journey, from entry into our system, to their first appointment with their provider and beyond.
  • Leverage clinical expertise and experience to determine the most suitable level of care and provider for our clients based on needs, preferences and availability.
  • Gain proficiency in our tools and workflows, and demonstrate the ability to adapt as we grow and scale in order to successfully navigate our internal operations.
  • Approach projects and responsibilities with operational competency, able to quickly apply learnings and pivot as needed.
  • Provide a blend of excellent customer service and clinical expertise in every interaction with our clients and providers.
  • Collaborate on company-wide initiatives, projects, and goals, and build strong cross-functional working relationships and rapport.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s level mental health/clinical degree.
  • Preferred 2-3 years experience working in a Care Navigation/Coordination/Intake capacity, specifically within the mental health or healthcare arena.
  • Experience with telephonic crisis intervention.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and can adapt your approach to multiple groups.
  • Detail oriented and impeccable organizational skills are a must.
  • Operational experience within fast-growth health tech, ideal.
  • Self-starter, willing to roll up your sleeves and be proactive and solution oriented.
  • Nimble and open to frequent change, iteratives processes, and operating in a testing culture.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with others through virtual meeting applications such as Zoom and Google Meet.
  • Must be able to observe and communicate information on company provided laptop.
  • Move up to 10 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Compensation:

Octave is committed to pay equity. To maintain our commitment to pay equity, Octave will follow Pay Transparency regulations on all open job postings. Starting pay for qualified applicants will depend on a combination of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below and this range may be modified in the future.

The salary range for this role is $58,600 - $72,000.

Additionally, this position is eligible for the following benefits: company sponsored life insurance, disability and AD&D plans. Voluntary benefits such as 401k retirement, medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, dependent care and commuter/parking options are also available. Octave offers generous Paid Time Off as well as paid parental leave benefits.
