Key Responsibilities:
Be responsible for enhancing and maintaining a highly transactional Java platform and building new Microservices.
Work in an Agile, fast-paced environment where requirements can evolve rapidly, and achieving results depends on initiative and leadership.
Collaborate with a team of talented, like-minded individuals with a can-do attitude to deliver innovative solutions.
Proactively identify and address technical debt, optimize the platform, and introduce operational efficiencies.
Design and develop performant, scalable, and highly transactional software that meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Estimate, prioritize, and execute development tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Support production deployments and go-live processes to ensure smooth delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
7+ years of commercial experience in Java development.
Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL; familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.
Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Ability to select the most suitable technologies and frameworks for each project requirement.
Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and software development best practices.
Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools and workflows.
Ability to estimate, prioritize, and execute tasks independently or in pairs under tight deadlines.
BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related field from a reputable university.
Experience with highly transactional, service-oriented architectures.
Proficiency in Spring Frameworks, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
Strong commitment to Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and UNIX-based operating systems.
Familiarity with application security, cryptography, and modern security best practices.
Prior experience working in Agile teams or startup environments is highly desirable.
