For our customer based in Malta - a European Institution, we are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join our team in the area of international protection - supporting Member States in applying the package of EU laws that governs asylum, international protection, and reception conditions. You will play a crucial role in providing practical, legal, technical, advisory, and operational assistance to achieve harmonized asylum practices, through the MS Dynamics 365 and Power Apps based portfolio of the client’s C1,C2,C3,C4 and C5 centers.

The role is based on 90% hybrid/remote mode from anywhere in the EU, while the onboarding must start with a 5 days of onsite presence in Valletta, Malta on the client site. You need to be based in European Union and have the full work rights to work as a freelancer/contractor (B2B). You can also choose the ratio % of onsite presence and remote work based on your needs.

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Contribute to the technical design of the SCM (Stakeholder Contact Management) tool based on Dynamics 365 CRM modules, evolution of existing Power Apps applications as well as to the design and development of other proof-of-concept applications which are based either on Dynamics 365 or Power Apps.

  • Collaborate on drafting software specifications and system requirements for this solution, advising on the architecture to follow, developing, and maintaining up to date the architecture related artifacts.

  • Lead and contribute to the solution architecture, design, development, implementation, testing, and maintenance of the Dynamics 365 and Power Apps based tools/applications.

  • Assess, propose, design, prototype, develop, test, configure, and maintain technical solutions related to key business requirements for improvements of the Dynamics 365 and Power Apps based tools, according to the prioritised backlog agreed between ICT and business. Share insight gained through these activities with the ICT project team(s).

  • Provide senior consultancy support and conduct studies on technical issues regarding client’s Dynamics 365 and Power Apps tools/applications and related ICT governance processes.

  • Support the implementation of the architectural aspects of client’s CRM, including the design of building blocks, data modelling, integration, and migration patterns

  • Support the configuration and customization of the system as well as the integration and customisation developments using Microsoft Dynamics Plugins and Web Services

  • Provide consolidated findings on insufficient technology configuration including breaches in the security data model

  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, including enterprise architecture documentation, solution architecture documentation, operational maintenance manuals, version description documents, release guidelines, and user manuals

  • Be involved in requirement gathering meetings and training sessions for final users

  • Provide user trainings and support for the use and customization of client’s Dynamics 365 and Power Apps based tools to their needs.

Requirements

  • University degree (BSc/MSc);

  • Minimum 10 years of IT experience, preferably within solution architecture;

  • Advanced hands-on experience in the following domains:

  • MS Dynamics 365core product platform and its modules Customer Engagement,

    Project Service Automation, Field Service, and Project Operations;

  • Advanced developments within the Dynamics Development Framework using .NET and JavaScript

  • Advanced use of Dynamics 365 Customizations like Entity-Relationship Management, Processes, Flows, Business Rules;

  • Advanced use of Dynamics 365 licensing schema and security model;

  • Advanced use of Web Technologies within the such as JavaScript, Angular.js, Typescript;

  • Advanced developments within API landscape using Microsoft Graph API and Microsoft Dataverse Web API;

  • Advanced developments within Power Apps landscape including Power Automate;

  • Advanced developments within Power Apps Component Framework;

  • Advanced use of solution packaging and deployment between environments.

NRB's story began in 1986 with the establishment of the GI (Groupement Informatique), an ICT entity shared by OMOB (now Ethias) and three Liege utility companies: CILE, ALG, and ALE (the latter two now part of Nethys). The primary goal was to consolidate ICT resources and expertise. Just a year later, in 1987, these four shareholders, along with CCB (Crédit Communal de Belgique), Coditel, and Electrabel, founded the limited liability company NRB. Initially, NRB's focus was on serving its own shareholders, aiming to reduce escalating ICT costs and leverage the skills of the new company's employees.

A significant development occurred in 1989 when the GIEI (Groupement d’Intérêt Economique et Informatique) entrusted NRB with managing the ICT resources for the French Community of Belgium and the Walloon Region. Recognizing the need for modernization and security, NRB undertook substantial upgrades and expansions to its facilities starting in 1995. This period marked a crucial phase in NRB's growth, laying the groundwork for future expansion. By 2005, NRB broadened its horizons, extending its range of services to include parastatal and private institutions. This expansion was supported by the addition of new buildings in Herstal in 2007 and the inauguration of a third data center in 2010. The same year, NRB acquired a 51% stake in the ADINFO holding from Dexia (now Belfius), which included three ICT companies active in the local public sector: Cevi, Adehis, and Logins. In 2011, NRB further solidified its infrastructure by partnering with Wallonia Data Center (WDC) to install a new disaster recovery center, enabling them to offer a complete architecture with data centers located over 30 km apart. This year also saw NRB become the first and only certified SAP Hosting Partner in Belgium. The NRB Group continued its strategic acquisitions, with Stesud joining in 2013 and subsequently merging with Adehis to form Civadis. Today, the NRB Group stands as a major player in the Belgian ICT sector, with a European focus, a consolidated turnover of €638.3 million in 2024, and over 3,670 employees.
