Frontend Developer- React/React-Native

--Depending on the candidate, this can be a hybrid or a fully remote job--

novoville is growing, we are looking for an experienced javascript developer to join our frontend team and help us deliver our goals and bring new ideas to life. Our entire frontend ( web & mobile ) is built using modern JS, specifically React and React Native to leverage code reuse across platforms.

This position is aimed primarily at people that are interested in React / React Native as these are the main tools we use. However, at novoville we're passionate about becoming better engineers and as a result you will have the option to play around in other fields like backend development and node scripting if that aligns with your personal growth roadmap.

In novoville we love to see our people grow. Thus, you will be eventually required to manage more people and assign them tasks. Your team will have ownership of your creations!

Requirements

In order of importance:

• An engineering mindset and teamwork skills. We value culture above all else.
• Understanding of vanilla javascript.
• Solid knowledge of React and at least one state management library ( our preference is Redux ).
• Experience with RESTful APIs.
• Working with Jira and potentially managing tasks for others.
• Understanding the startup culture and its requirements.

Things we will notice:

• Tinkered with and is interested in React Native.
• Experience with node.js be it scripting or backend work.
• An open-source contribution or public github profile.
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS and browser APIs.
