As a DevOps Engineer at Noodle, you would be responsible for maintaining infrastructure, problem-solving and implementation plans for many of our tools. Accordingly, you are good at development tasks and are familiar with many of the technologies and architectures listed below, as well as being open-minded and willing to learn. This includes how you approach new tools and being willing to ask questions as they come up. We have a very friendly culture of helping each other out when needed here at Noodle!

As our DevOps Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Take charge of setting up, provisioning, and planning infrastructure.
  • Standardize environments to ensure consistency and reliability across Noodle's systems.
  • Manage platform configuration through effective CM practices.
  • Design and develop robust CI/CD architectures to streamline the software development and deployment processes.
  • Implement and oversee architectural monitoring to maintain system health and performance.
  • Lead the implementation and management of various services and tools.
  • Implement and monitor security testing to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular security audits and provide oversight to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Implement and monitor a variety of tools to support development, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Manage threats and respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2-3 years' experience in DevOps engineering.
  • Proficiency in Linux distributions: Ubuntu, Amazon Linux 2
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Services (EC2, S3, IAM, ECR/ECS, RDS, GuardDuty, Watchtower, among others)
  • Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong background with SQL.
  • Expertise in CI/CD Tooling (Jenkins, CircleCI, Git, Terraform, Ansible, Docker
  • Proficient in shell scripting, and experience using a high-level programming language (ideally Python) for DevOps-related tasks.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace applications: Docs, Slides, Sheets
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment
