What started as a small team taking over from a voluntary naming committee has grown into a critical piece of national infrastructure. We don't just run a registry - we're a public benefit company, which means we're not here to maximise profits for shareholders. Instead, we're focused on using technology to make a genuine difference.

Our DNS expertise keeps essential services running, from government platforms to the NHS, while we actively work to make the internet safer by tackling domain abuse. Beyond our core registry work, we fund initiatives that address real problems - like getting micro:bits into primary schools, supporting digital skills training through Click Start, and helping tackle digital exclusion via the National Databank.
