We have recently won a new contract to become the main strategic cloud partner to the MOD. This has opened several opportunities within this space for growth within the AWS DevOps teams and we require applicants with current and live SC Clearance to join us.

You will help deliver best in breed cloud services for our customers in line with the adoption of DevOps principles and practices. You will deploy and configure production systems, focusing on automation, ease of configuration, reduction of human error, repeatability, and security whilst collaborating with other cloud engineers to design, implement and evolve automated CI/CD pipelines in the cloud.

Additionally, you’ll need to monitor new features/functionality and assess their Ops implications to improve services continuously. You will ensure Identity and Access Management controls are in place and strictly adhered to and monitor infrastructure by setting appropriate thresholds and reacting to event driven alerts appropriately. You will also discover and recommend ways to improve reliability and efficiency and maintain an overarching service dashboard and reporting whilst producing and maintaining documentation of support processes & resolutions for known operational issues. This will in include participating in a 24/7 on call rota as required.

Additionally, we will book for resit exams should something not go to plan, as many times as you need them.

Technology you will use/learn

•AWS Cloud experience as an engineer

  • Gitlab or Jenkins automation for infrastructure as code including DevOps automation, including Terraform, ANSIBLE, ARM, and

potentially Bicep.

  • DevOps pipelines and managing multiple streams at a time optimizing and maturing these

•Networking and security

Compensation and benefits

  • Competitive compensation dependent upon experience and expertise
  • Continual training and development funding for exams/certifications

•Car Allowance - 10% of base Salary

  • Annual Incentive Plan on base salary (5% company performance, 5 % personal performance)
  • 22 days annual leave increase to 28 days after five years, plus 8 days statutory bank holiday.

  • Participate in a hybrid working model, working remotely and up to 2 to 3 days per week on our customer site in Corsham Wiltshire . This can vary based on each customer’s needs. Currently, this team is working 1 day per week from site.
