About the Company
Our client is a global asset management firm headquartered in London with over £30bn AUM and offices across Europe, North America, and Asia. With a significant ongoing investment in technology modernisation and regulatory compliance programmes, they are building out their in-house program management capability to improve delivery quality and reduce reliance on external consulting. The role sits within the COO's transformation function and is a key hire for the team.
The Role
As Program Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of one or more large, complex delivery programmes, spanning technology, operations, and business change. You will manage workstream leads, hold delivery partners accountable, and ensure programmes are delivered on time, on budget, and with the intended business outcomes.
What You'll Do
Own program planning, scheduling, and governance, ensuring milestones are defined, risks are tracked, and issues are escalated appropriately.
Manage relationships with internal business owners, technology teams, and external delivery partners across multiple workstreams.
Prepare clear and concise programme status reporting for ExCo and Board audiences.
Lead change management planning, including stakeholder engagement, communications, and readiness assessments.
Identify and implement improvements to programme governance, tools, and methodology across the transformation function.
What We're Looking For
6–10 years of experience in programme or project management, with direct accountability for delivering large, complex cross-functional programmes.
Strong governance and risk management skills, comfortable challenging delivery partners and escalating when needed.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to produce board-quality programme updates with minimal review.
Experience working in financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
PMP, PRINCE2, or MSP certification is desirable but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of £90,000 – £115,000, depending on experience.
Annual discretionary bonus.
Defined contribution pension with generous employer contributions.
