We're looking for an Ecommerce Trading Manager to join our growing Total Platform team at NEXT!

Total Platform is an exciting new business-to-business online service that offers brands a full solution for eCommerce, including website, warehousing, logistics, customer care, marketing and customer data management. We let brands focus on their product and creative, and we drive their new online business forward including innovations, sales, operations and technology developments.

As the Ecommerce Trading Manager, you will review the website metrics, make suggestions to optimise net sales and conversion and you’ll also get to suggest ways to improve the search results, sort order, search imagery, filters, item titles, navigation links and navigation order.

In this role we are looking for you to take a data led approach to decision making while using your knowledge in your dedicated product area, as well as ensuring new launches and seasonal changes are supported.

We are looking for an analytical Ecommerce specialist to join our fast paced team, with a passion and interest in Fashion and Retail.

We can offer hybrid working, with part of the week working at Next Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire and part of the week working remotely (3 days office, 2 days remote!)

About the role

  • Grow sales of the client, using the Total Platform tools and resources at your disposal, including data, marketing, website content, navigation and filtering, search and experience.
  • Act as a brand ambassador; promoting the brand within Next and driving their sales forward as much as possible through sales ideas, innovations, developments and marketing campaigns.
  • Identify & champion opportunities for growth; through data analysis of key online metrics, customer research and sales data analysis
  • Use your exceptional commercial understanding, to help to identify and suggest ways to create a more engaging online experience for our customers
  • Use sound knowledge of search, navigation and commercial layouts to make sure our online offering is always the best around
  • Support the Senior eCommerce Manager and wider online team with product and project launches.
  • Continually review search results and pages with a view to optimise. Identifying opportunities to improve low conversion or high bounce rates.
  • Drive forward marketing opportunities and initiatives that will enhance a product's online commercial appeal.
  • You will optimise the online funnel, determining right products, content and structure to get customers through the shopping journey as quickly as possible whilst maximising average order value.
  • Work to create and maintain the marketing plan and ensure it is executed on time.
  • Identify, implement and drive commercial improvements through your insights.
  • Drive growth of team members by carrying out regular reviews and performance development plans with direct reports.

About you

  • Analytical and comfortable with large volumes of data.
  • Experienced in managing a team.
  • Organised, thorough and excited by a challenge you’ll work well in a busy and fast moving retail environment.
  • Experience of working in an online environment and/or trading, merchandising or buying.
  • Good at prioritising workload to meet requirements and tight deadlines.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good communication skills & able to effectively work with members of both the immediate and wider team, at varying levels
  • Highly motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude who is able to work under pressure in a faced paced environment.
  • Keen interest in Fashion & Retail.
